About us
The “Tales from the Hive” – Teatro Lambe-Lambe – was created in 2020 by the French artist Bruno Rudolf, who has lived in Brazil since 2001. Tales from the Hive is a collection of performances that explore contemporary, humanitarian, and ecological themes.
The hive evokes a place where everyone lives together — a collective space of life, exchange, and cooperation. A territory of respect, diversity, and interdependence in search of balance.
The company offers a creative way to reflect on topics such as human relationships, the challenges of our society, and the importance of caring for our planet.
These short and captivating performances invite the audience to reflect and be moved. We need to re-enchant the world in order to better transform it.
“Tales from the Hive” are open windows onto life.

What is Teatro Lambe-Lambe?
Teatro Lambe-Lambe was created 30 years ago in Bahia, Brazil, by two women artists from the Northeast, Denise dos Santos and Ismine Lima.
The original idea was to make it possible to present a puppet show in an intimate way on the streets and squares of Salvador. They came up with the idea of using the photographers’ “Lambe-Lambe” box as a scenic space to present the performance “The Birth Dance.”
Thus, Teatro Lambe-Lambe was born, and since then, this theatrical language has developed and spread throughout Brazil, Latin America, and the world.
This street art form — a meeting between theater, animated forms, and visual arts — continues to evolve with each artist’s creativity, taking on new shapes and possibilities.
Teatro Lambe-Lambe offers a moment of intense intimacy between the artist and the audience. The short performances are usually presented to a single spectator, who watches the piece through a small peephole or opening.
